On February 21, 2024 Connecticut’s DAV Chapters recently came together to support an annual mission – Christmas in February, now ongoing for approximately 20 years, at the Rocky Hill Veterans Home. The veterans received gift bags filled with assorted toiletries and were able to choose from a selection of sweatshirts and scarves.
Mayor Ken Lesser of Weathersfield received an invite and attended to assist with the distribution efforts. PDC Rick Newell (Pictured Left) and Current CT State DAV Commander Marty Cantrell are pictured here.
Veterans from the facility were appreciative and applauded the DAV members for their efforts.
